Yes, it is real. 

Larry got his tattoo on January 11, 2006. The above photo was taken two weeks later. As with much of Larry's writing, the design of his tattoo carries both an outward simplicity and a wealth of significance between the lines.

More than just a pretty design, for Larry the tattoo is a lasting symbol of his reliance on God's anointing, grace and redemption.
